1. About these terms

1.1 These terms apply to the awards website on which they appear (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Lewis Business Media (Arts) Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”), registered in England and Wales under company number 09762838. Our correspondence address is The Courtyard, River Way, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 1SL, and our email address is info@lewisbusinessmedia.co.uk.

1.2 By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you submit an award entry, the separate entry terms published for that award also apply. They set out the relevant categories, eligibility rules, closing date, judging arrangements and any other award-specific conditions. If those entry terms conflict with these general website terms in relation to an entry, the award-specific terms take priority.

2. Award entries

2.1 Entries must be submitted through the form provided on the Site, following the instructions for the relevant award and category. You are responsible for checking that the information and supporting material you submit is accurate, complete and submitted by the published deadline. You must have permission to provide any material belonging to another person or organisation.

2.2 An automated acknowledgement shows that a submission has been received; it does not confirm that the entry is eligible, accepted for judging or shortlisted. We may contact you about missing information and may reject an entry that does not meet the published requirements, in accordance with the award-specific entry terms.

2.3 You retain ownership of the material you submit. You give us permission to use it as reasonably necessary to administer and judge the award, including sharing it with the appointed judges and those assisting them. Any publication or promotional use of finalist or winner information is governed by the award-specific entry terms and the Site’s Privacy Policy.

3. Entry fees and event tickets

3.1 Where an award category has an entry fee, the Site will direct you to a separate Lewis Business Media payment website to pay it. The awards Site does not collect your card details. The price, payment process and applicable payment or refund terms will be presented on the payment website and in the relevant award-specific entry terms.

3.2 Tickets for an awards event are also purchased through the separate payment website. Submitting an award entry does not include a ticket unless the award-specific entry terms expressly say otherwise. The ticket booking conditions provided during that purchase apply to the booking.

3.3 You may cancel an award entry by giving us written notice at info@lewisbusinessmedia.co.uk. If an entry fee was paid and we receive your cancellation at least 30 calendar days before the published judging date, we will refund the entry fee. Any other refund rights stated in the relevant award-specific entry terms or required by law also apply. Ticket cancellations are governed by the ticket booking conditions presented when tickets are purchased.

4. Information on the Site

4.1 The Site contains text, images, graphics, logos, award information and other material (together, “Content”). We take reasonable care in preparing it, but information may change or contain errors. Please check current dates, eligibility requirements and other important details on the relevant award page and entry form before submitting an entry.

4.2 We may update Content or temporarily suspend access to the Site for maintenance or technical reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

5. Copyright and acceptable use

5.1 Unless stated otherwise, Content belongs to us, our licensors or other identified rights holders. You may read the Site, share links to its pages and make limited copies for personal use or internal reference within your organisation. You must not republish, distribute, sell or commercially exploit substantial parts of the Content, or use award logos, without permission or a licence granted under the relevant award-specific entry terms. These terms do not restrict uses permitted by law.

5.2 You must use the Site lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, seek unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or use it in a way that could prevent others from using it. We take reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee that the Site or downloadable files will always be free from harmful material.

6. Other websites

The Site may link to websites operated by others, including the separate payment website. Their own terms and privacy information apply when you use them. A link to another website does not mean that we control its content or availability.

7. Personal information and analytics

The Site’s Privacy Policy explains how we use information submitted with award entries, how it may be shared with judges, and how Google Analytics 4 is used to measure visits to the Site. The Site’s Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies in use and how to manage your choices. Payment information provided on the separate payment website is covered by the privacy information presented there.

8. Liability

8.1 We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.

8.2 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you may have.

9. Changes and general terms

9.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to use of the Site from its stated update date. Changes to the conditions of an entry already submitted will be handled in accordance with the award-specific entry terms and applicable law.

9.2 If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have to bring proceedings elsewhere.
